In fall of 2021, I taught a class on China in the Caribbean and this fall I was invited to give the opening lecture for the 2022 University of Lynchburg Lecture Series.
The lecture series launched in 2018 but has been on hold as we navigated COVID. The series relaunched in October 2021 and I had the privilege of kicking off the series with my lecture tiled: "News, China & the Recolonization of the Caribbean".
I always relish opportunities to talk research and particularly to talk about the Caribbean. The region, so often is written off despite its proximity to the United States.
