Life in the Burg: Portrait Exhibition at the Legacy Museum

Writer's picture: GhislaineGhislaine

The Legacy Museum of African American History in collaboration with Heritage High School is hosting a summer 2019 exhibition showcasing portraits of prominent members of the local African American community. The title of the exhibition is "Let your trumpets blow, Let your mighty voice be heard," and my affiliation with the exhibition committee aside, I must say the art is breathtaking. The students talent is awe inspiring as they realistically captured the faces across the education, sport, politics and health spectrum of Lynchburg and its surrounding counties.

Can you spot my favorite piece? Which of the pieces above speak to you?

If you're in the city, do stop by the Legacy and see the exhibition, It runs until September 15, 2019.
