Travel Photography & Storage

I have always been obsessed with photos. My obsession grew to an untenable level in college. Long before camera phones were pervasive I was known to walk around with my camera and way too many rolls of film. I tried to capture all our big moments. To this day I am pretty sure I still have unprocessed rolls of film hanging out in my closet at my parents home in Florida.

All these years later, my obsession continues. When you travel as much as I do, the two things you rack up are lots of miles and lots of photos. My go-to pieces of equipment that get packed first for any trip are my Nikon DSLR, tripod and one of my many trusty Toshiba hard drives.

As a backup, I also virtually store my photos on photo sharing sites Shutterfly and Snapfish. I began both of these accounts around 2004/2005 and they have been my trust support since then. They are also handy for when I need to share photo albums so photos aren't taking up email storage space. These virtual sights are also great for photo gifts, invitations and my personal favorite - thank you cards.
